Answers To Common Questions

General Puppy Policy:

When I have a litter of puppies born I observe them until they are around three weeks old.

Once the puppies turn three weeks old I price them individually, post pictures of them for the first time and make them available for reservation.

The people who are on my paid waiting list always get the first opportunity to reserve puppies after they are made available.

How does my paid waiting list work?

If you are looking to purchase a puppy from me in the future the absolute best way to do that is to get on my paid waiting list.

Getting on my paid waiting list guarantees you a puppy from one of my future litters and it lets you pick your puppy before they are made available to everyone else.

To get on my paid waiting list requires a $250.00 non refundable deposit and it guarantees you a pick from one of my upcoming litters.

What is the timeline like for getting a puppy once you are on my paid waiting list?

There are many variables that are out my hands when it comes to when exactly a litter of puppies will be born.

For that reason I make no promises on when a litter might be born.

Even after a female is pregnant I don’t like to bring it up with the people on my list because I don’t like worrying them with expectations so I only announce a litter of puppies after they are born and around two weeks old.

Generally speaking I will have a puppy available for anyone on my list within six months but I don’t allow anyone on my list unless they are comfortable waiting up to a year.

I breed dachshunds because it gives me joy so I have no interest in watering down any of that joy by having someone on my list who is constantly fretting about when the next litter will be born.

All I can say is that not a single person who has been on my list has ended up disappointed yet.

How do you reserve a puppy that is already born if you were not on my waiting list?

Once the people on my paid waiting list have picked their puppies I then make any unreserved puppies available to everyone else.

A $500 non refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy that is already born.

What are the payment options for placing a deposit?

I have an account setup with Square so I will text you a request for the deposit.

Square works with any US-issued and most internationally-issued debit or credit cards, and also supports mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Afterpay.

So in short, you can pretty much choose to pay any way that you want through Square.

Will your deposit be applied to the cost of your puppy?

Yes, any deposit that you pay will be applied to the cost of your puppy so your deposit accomplishes two things.

It guarantees you the right to get the puppy that you want and it gets you started on paying for that puppy.

Is your deposit refundable?

No. Once you put down a deposit it is not refundable so make sure that you definitely want a puppy before making any deposit.

How is your spot on the list determined once you place a deposit?

Your pick spot will be determined in the order that you place your deposit. I will let you know how many people are on my paid waiting list before you place a deposit.

What if a puppy that you want isn’t born in a litter that you have a pick for?

If a puppy that you want is not born in a litter your pick will simply roll to the next litter and you will move up the list as people pick puppies in front of you.

******I always reserve the right to keep any puppies that I want from any of my litters before anyone else makes a pick.******

What is the price for my puppies?
